Vostorg calls itself vegetarian but uses no animal products whatsoever, and it builds the menu around fresh farm produce rather than processed substitutes. The cooking is more inventive than most of the city's plant-based cafés, and the sourcing is the part that matters: vegetables that taste of something, handled simply. The best option in Moscow for anyone who wants vegetables treated as the main event.
