The Gillian McKeith Restaurant Guide ("the guide", "the service") is published by McKeith Research Ltd ("we", "us", "the seller"). By using this website you are contracting with McKeith Research Ltd, and by continuing to use the service you agree to these terms.

The guide is an editorial directory of restaurants that take healthy, wholefood and plant-forward eating seriously. Listings, reviews and city guides reflect honest editorial opinion. Inclusion in the guide is free and cannot be bought; paid services (such as claiming a listing or featured placement) never influence whether a restaurant is listed or what we say about it.

You must not misuse the service. That includes:

• using the site for anything unlawful, fraudulent or deceptive;
• posting spam, fake reviews or content that infringes anyone's intellectual property;
• interfering with the site's security, probing it, or scraping it in bulk;
• pretending to be a restaurant owner, or someone else, when you are not.

If you create an account, keep your login details confidential. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, and the information you give us must be accurate and kept up to date.

When you submit a review, a photo or any other content, you keep ownership of it but grant us a limited licence to host and display it as part of the service. Reviews are moderated before publication. We may decline or remove content that is fake, defamatory, unlawful or off-topic.

The service itself — the software, the editorial copy, the design and the branding — belongs to McKeith Research Ltd. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, resell, redistribute or reverse-engineer it.

Paid services — such as the one-off listing claim fee and monthly featured placement — are sold through our payment partner Paddle.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. A claim fee is only charged after a restaurant's application has been reviewed and approved by us; applying is free. Featured placement is a monthly subscription you can cancel at any time.

We work hard to keep the guide available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Restaurant details — opening hours, menus, whether a restaurant is still trading — can change without notice, and we recommend checking with the restaurant before travelling.

We may suspend or terminate access to the service for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious violations of our policies. If your access ends, any content you submitted may be removed.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages — including loss of profits, data or goodwill — arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you is capped at the fees you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not allow it.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. We may update these terms from time to time; the version on this page is the current one. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent; we may transfer ours in connection with a merger or sale of the business.
