Healthy restaurants in Glasgow.
Written by Gillian McKeith
Glasgow has one of the strongest independent vegan scenes in Britain, and it was built by small, stubborn, brilliant operators rather than by chains. That is precisely why the cooking has so much character.
You will find West End wholefood cafes, Southside kitchens and city-centre dining rooms on this page. I chose each of them for what actually arrives on the plate.
Purity, wholesomeness, organic wherever possible, and plenty of fresh vegetables, pulses, grains and seeds. That is my entire test, and it has never let me down.
