"Moscow's oldest vegetarian institution, running since 1999, with an Indian-leaning buffet and a health-food shop attached."

Jagannath opened in 1999 and is still going, which in Moscow counts for a great deal. The cooking leans Indian, served buffet style, with vegan dishes clearly marked so nobody has to interrogate the staff. There is a health-food shop attached and branches near Kuznetsky Most, Kurskaya and Belorusskaya. It is canteen food rather than fine dining, but it is honest, filling and cheap.
