"The revived Hendersons, a vegetarian and vegan dining room carrying on the family name that fed Edinburgh from 1962."

Hendersons began as a farm shop in 1962 and became the longest running vegetarian restaurant in Britain, an Edinburgh institution on Hanover Street for the best part of sixty years. It closed in the summer of 2020. In October 2021 Barrie Henderson, grandson of founder Janet Henderson, reopened Hendersons - Eat Better Live Better near Bruntsfield Links, with the same vegetarian and vegan intent: salads, hot plates, soups and baking made from proper produce rather than convenience.
