"A long-running all-vegetarian café near Chistye Prudy with a proper cooked menu rather than salads and apologies."

Avocado has been feeding Moscow vegetarians since the 2000s and remains the most dependable place in the city for a full plant-based meal. The menu covers soups, pastas, bowls and raw dishes, the kitchen cooks vegetables with some ambition, and there is an English menu for anyone who needs one. Nothing here is fashionable, which is rather the point: it has lasted because the food is consistent.
